The Davey Tree Expert Company has been accredited by the Tree Care Industry’s Accreditation program administered by the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA).
Davey is the largest company accredited by TCIA, which has a membership of more than 2,000 tree care companies.
The Davey Company with U.S and Canadian operations in 45 states and five provinces, is the largest residential/commercial tree care company in North America. The 94 U.S. locations of Davey and its subsidiaries are now fully TCIA-accredited.
Founded in 1880 and based in Kent, Ohio, Davey has been employee owned since 1979. With its more than 7,000 employees, it is among the 20 largest employee-owned companies based in the United States.

The new program represents the only business practices and compliance audit process in the tree care industry. Under the process, businesses undergo extensive review of professional practices aimed at safeguarding consumers. The review includes:

TCIA Accreditation means The Davey Tree Expert Company adheres to all the accreditation standards and has undergone a rigorous application process. TCIA verified this by conducting an on-site audit of Davey facilities and work sites.
The Accreditation is in effect for a period of three years, with renewal audits required every year. The annual renewal ensures the company continues to employ trained professionals, is still properly ensured and has an outstanding safety and consumer satisfaction rating. The company is re-accredited every three years.
