The Summit on Asia Tree Assessment & Tree Preservation will be held in Hong Kong over a two-to-three-day period in November 2009 (the actual dates are yet to be determined). The Summit will be presented by Nelda Matheny and Jim Clark and will include special guests Dr. Bill Fountain and Dr. Francesco Ferrini.

Summit on Tree Assessment and Tree Preservation to be held in Hong Kong

The Summit on Asia Tree Assessment & Tree Preservation will be held in Hong Kong over a two-to-three-day period in November 2009 (the actual dates are yet to be determined). The Summit will be presented by Nelda Matheny and Jim Clark and will include special guests Dr. Bill Fountain and Dr. Francesco Ferrini.


Matheny and Clark are authors of such books as Evaluation of Hazard Trees in Urban Areas, Municipal Specialist: Certification Study Guide, Arboriculture: Integrated Management of Landscape Trees, Shrubs, and Vines- 4th Edition, Abiotic Disorders of Landscape Plants: A Diagnostic Guide and Trees and Development: A Technical Guide to Preservation of Trees During Land Development.


Fountain, of the University of Kentucky, will speak on his observations on trees in the tropics. Ferrini of Bagno a Ripoli, Firenze, Italy docente universitario Universita di Firenze, will speak on Pollarding and the European perspective. More guest speakers to be announced.
