Wilderness Medical Associates announced a five-day emergency medical course designed for arborists. The Wilderness First Responder (WFR) course will be held November 16-20, 2009 at Camp Daggett in Petoskey Mich.
The five-day course is designed for professionals who have the self-discipline to complete approximately 25 hours of pre-course preparation. You should register at least 4 weeks prior to the course start to allow time for assigned reading, case reviews, and self-assessment tests. Conscientious preparation is essential for success. On-site training will reinforce and expand on the knowledge you’ve already acquired. This five-day program is also available to qualified groups.
Course fees are $650, which includes all texts and materials (lodging available at a discount rate). There are also three state parks within 10-15 miles the classroom.
