HMI announced that The Care of Trees has joined its Authorized Member (AM) Network to support HMI’s programs in many important markets in the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic and Northeast states. HMI provides property owners, insurers and others with inspections, replacement costs and a full suite of claims support services for trees and shrubs. HMI has established a national network of arborists and professional tree care companies to support these products and services.
“We are excited to have The Care of Trees in our network and have already taken advantage of their professional service and expertise in several key markets,” said Doug Malawsky, Chief Operating Officer of HMI. “They have been active in supporting not only tree removals, but also consultative services such as cause of loss analysis and risk assessments. They have also helped support a program for a large insurance company that HMI recently launched, which was developed to train insurance inspectors to identify failure-prone trees on their client’s properties.”
“HMI represents a unique opportunity for The Care of Trees to expand our client base and participate in activities that can truly shape our industry”, said Phil Snyder, Vice President of The Care of Trees. “We have certainly appreciated the quality work that HMI has been able to refer to us. I’m also excited about their initiatives aimed at raising the standards for tree care within the insurance industry that will provide qualified and professional companies with an advantage in a competitive environment. We have generated immediate revenue by participating in HMI’s member benefit programs and believe we’ve created new clients for life. We feel the benefit to professionals in our industry from HMI’s initiatives is very real.”
Members of HMI’s AM Network provide property owners with risk mitigation services, tree repair and replacement services, as needed, and all other services related to tree claims and tree damage recovery. Other services include tree and debris removal, reports to support subrogation actions, and replacement costs for lost trees and shrubs. AM Network members receive work referrals, customized report covers, and discounted pricing on HMI’s treeFacts® Reports. In addition, HMI’s Asset Inventory Program (AIP), a PDA application for collecting tree inventory, is available exclusively to HMI’s AM Network.
