International Arboriculture Summit announced

The International Arboriculture Summit – Hong Kong (IASHK), Caring For Our Subtropical Trees, will be held November 18-21, 2010, Hosted by Asia Tree Preservation, Ltd. and Suen Douh Camp.

Last year’s IASHK Conference received more than 100 attendees from Hong Kong, Malaysia, Macau, and Singapore with international speakers from Germany, Italy, Hong Kong, and the United States. The lectures and workshops had a focus on education and field training in many areas of arboriculture including tree assessment, pruning, tree biomechanics, tree management, and use of technical instruments.

This year’s conference will aim to do the same with a roster of highly acclaimed professionals in the field of arboriculture.

The keynote speaker for this event is Professor Edward Gilman of the University of Florida. Also coming from a subtropical region, he will speak directly to the management of our subtropical urban forest.
