Forestry Equipment of VA recently partnered with Tigercat Industries Inc. to offer a low-profile 75-foot aerial device and carrier designed for off-road forestry applications.
The Tigercat AD610C four-wheel drive carrier upfitted with a Terex Hi-Ranger XT60/70 Elevator lift has an overall height of only 11-feet-6-inches. This will allow the unit to be transported to the jobsite without an over-height permit. The overall width including tires is only 116 inches. This new compact unit can handle rough terrain, reach remote areas and provide a tree trimming working height of 75 feet. The Tigercat’s heavy-duty front blade and the lift’s radial outriggers provide exceptional stability. Included with the lift is an auxiliary power pump that can stow the booms in an emergency or loss of power. The unit is powered by a 173-hp. Cummins Tier III diesel engine with automatic variable engine speed for high fuel efficiency. The hydrostatic drive system and joystick steering makes this unit efficient and easy to operate. A climate controlled cab with a two position Turnaround Seat allows the operator to operate the unit facing the rear. The Tigercat is equipped with a 35,000-pound rear winch for recovery, added stability or log and brush removal. A 96-inch-long storage box is provided for hydraulic pole saw or pruner storage.
