The Tree Research & Education Endowment Fund is seeking donations to its 13th annual Raise Your Hand for Research Auction, to be held February 20 – 21, 2011 in Savannah, Ga., during the North American Tree Conference and Trade Show (NATC). NATC will be the largest stateside gathering of arboriculture professionals in 2011.
“Raise Your Hand for Research” is a major fundraiser for the TREE Fund, and your auction donation will further the mission to advance knowledge in arboriculture and urban forestry to benefit people, trees, and the environment. The TREE Fund relies on the generosity of industry partners, sponsors and donors in order to fund arboriculture research and education programs and provide multiple scholarships each year for aspiring tree-care professionals.
The two-day Silent Auction takes place on the trade show floor at the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center on February 20th and 21st offering more exposure than ever before for the auction donors and sponsors. The “Raise Your Hand for Research” Live Auction will be held on February 20th immediately following the NATC President’s Reception. In addition, the Online Auction runs 1/20/11 through 2/18/11. We’re looking for a variety of auction items and certificates, valued at $70 or more, appealing to tree care professionals, outdoor enthusiasts, connoisseurs, hobbyists, and families. Popular auction items include hand crafted jewelry or wood items, nature photography and books (autographed if possible), outdoor and tree care equipment and clothing, arboriculture training materials, wine, locally brewed beer, sports items and event tickets, and gifts for children.
Auction items valued over $1,000 will be featured in the Live Auction and online catalog. (The deadline for inclusion in the online auction promotion is 1/1/11.)
Silent auction donations will be displayed on the trade show floor for two days. (Be sure to include a supply of your business cards with your auction item.)
Silent auction donations valued at over $500 are eligible for inclusion in the online catalog.
Auction donors will be recognized in the Auction’s print program (Please respond by 2/1/11 to be included.)
