ACRT, Inc., a leader in utility vegetation management, recently appointed April Kennedy to operations manager in the company’s west region. Kennedy was formerly a senior consulting utility forester (SCUF) for ACRT’s West Coast utility partners.
“April is a great asset to the ACRT team, especially with her background assisting our utility partners on the west coast,” said Mike Weidner, president and CEO, ACRT. “This is a natural transition for her, as proven with her experience and expertise, and we’re very pleased to have her in this new and exciting role.”
Kennedy joined ACRT just over six years ago where she worked in the company’s Yosemite and Stockton divisions. In her new role, Kennedy will be managing the Yosemite division operations, as well as the transmission orchard program and the Stockton division transmission team, which covers much of central California.
“This position is the perfect balance between working in the field, customer service and being able to use my computer skills,” Kennedy said. “I’m really looking forward to getting to know the people on my team better, having a hands-on approach in supporting them and helping make their positions at ACRT run smoothly.”
Kennedy has an associate’s degree in forestry and environmental science and is an ISA-certified Arborist and Utility Specialist.
