Terex Woodsman expands and launches new products

Originally founded in 1994, Terex Woodsman was acquired by the Terex Corporation in July 2011, and is an industry leader designing and manufacturing a full line of durable, high-performance environmental hand-fed brush chippers and biomass chippers.

Terex Woodsman has an aggressive product development program, and recent additions to the Terex Woodsman product portfolio are the Terex Woodsman 700, 705 and 710, which were released in January and February 2012.

The rental is a large market in the United States, and these products are targeted at this market which uses smaller units. These three machines, 6-inch, 6-inch, and 9-inch feed respectively, is a market that Terex Woodsman were not in previously. This further reinforces their commitment to the arborist industry.

In addition, the Woodsman 810 and 830 Trommel range have been launched, which are designed to work in wood chip, top soil, compost and recycling applications and compliment the environmental brush chipper and biomass lines.

Their engineering places a strong emphasis on the design and manufacture of their products. They want to be a leader and innovator and help support their customers’ operation to be more productive and profitable.

Terex Woodsman’s customers include arborist companies, landscape companies, rental companies, utilities, and municipalities. Customers of its biomass chippers include biomass producers, land development companies and mid- to large-sized contractors.  All these customers are key in the continuing growth of Terex Woodsman.

Recently Terex Woodsman became a new top level sponsor, as a Crown PACT (Partners Advancing Commercial Treecare) partner of the Tree Care Industry Association. “Terex Woodsman is proud to become the newest PACT member of the TCIA. This shows Terex Woodsman’s commitment to the industry by supporting one of the main industry associations through its PACT program, it enables us to get involved in end-user safety and supports other “green” TCIA initiatives” said Barry DeLau II, Global Sales & Marketing Director.
