TCIA is looking for vintage tree care equipment

TCIA announced that TCI EXPO 2013 in Charlotte, N.C., will feature a museum to commemorate the tree care industry and TCI’s 75 years as an association.

This is a great opportunity to contribute to a historical display and be part of one of the most highly anticipated features of this year’s TCI EXPO.

Think you might have an item to lend to the exhibit? The 75th Museum will feature a variety of old equipment, unique tools and gear, vintage photos, stories, and more. TCI is still looking to add more of these items to the Museum, and your company might have just what they are looking for.

While any and all items will be considered, TCI is specifically looking for items that relate to:

Willys (military) Jeep conversion to arboriculture application
Early model aerial lift, such as a Skyworker
Early model disc chipper
Lickity Splitter
Early model, tow-behind stump grinder
Hodges walk-behind grinder
Early model drum chipper (Mitts & Merrill, Fitchburg)
Mist blower
Any equipment representing technological or safety improvements/advancements

If you have any of these items, please contact TCIA by August 15. Contact David Lee, membership director, at 603-314-5380 x 125 or dlee@tcia.org with details of your items. You can also download our PDF for more information on the museum.
