The 2014 Rotochopper Demo Day was another great success. More than 100 people from around the world came to the small Minnesota town of Saint Martin to watch the high-quality horizontal grinders that Rotochopper has to offer.
Demo Day kicked off with Rotochopper President John Babcock explaining why he and the rest of the company are proud to be a part of an employee-owned company, and how all the employees take pride in standing behind their work.
“Our employees are committed to building hardworking, dependable machines that help make our customers money. The dedication and commit carries through the entire Rotochopper sales and manufacturing process,” said Babcock.
After a the opening remarks, the guests and employees were treated to the opening ceremonies, which included an honor guard; singing of the national anthem; and two semi-trucks bringing in two Rotochopper B-66 Track and Dolly combos, disconnecting them from their trailers, and watching as they moved into the position for the demo using their crawler tracks. Both the Rotochopper B-66T 950HP and the Rotochopper B-66T 750HP ground cut-to-length logs into two very distinct finished products to everyone’s delight.
After the initial B-66T demos, guests were broken up into smaller groups to watch machine-specific demos. The “ale cart” demos included the Rotochopper Go-Bagger 250 bagging mulch and compost, the Rotochopper FP-66 showing just what it means to produce finished landscape mulch that’s “Perfect In One Pass,” and the Rotochopper EC-366 showing guests just how versatile electric powered stationary grinding should be.
Kleiman Off-Road Racing showed off its TORC Pro-Lite truck to all of the guests of this year’s Rotochopper Demo Day. Members of Kleiman Off-Road Racing signed autographs, and explained to the guests what professional truck racing is all about.
After several other demos, the final demo of the day was a Rotochopper B-66T producing colored mulch. Rotochopper East-Coast Regional Manager, Scott Harrington showed everyone how switching from one product to another (brush, logs, and scrap pallets) in mid-stream doesn’t diminish the “Perfect In One Pass” high product standards that Rotochopper customers have come to expect.
“This year’s event was the best one so far – a complete success,” said Monte Height, Rotochopper National Sales Manager. “I am beyond proud of everybody who helped put this event together and I am happy that we were able to show off our facility, our machines and the spirit of the company in such a fun way to such a large crowd.”
