ACRT, Inc., a utility vegetation management consulting firm, announced the hire of arboriculture and right-of-way veteran Richard Hendler as the company continues its growth.
With decades of experience under his belt, Hendler will support ONCOR and the ACRT Texas team, helping ACRT bolster its business development efforts through his wide-ranging right-of-way (ROW) knowledge and integrated vegetation management (IVM) expertise.
“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Rich to ACRT during this important time for our company,” said Kenny Murphy, Senior Operations Manager, ACRT. “As we expand our capabilities, Rich’s broad expertise in IVM and innovative approaches to ROW management will be invaluable to our success.”
Hendler comes to ACRT from Dow AgroSciences, where he helped to lead the company’s right-of-way operations through market development, oversight and training and assisted clients in pursuing excellent IVM programs.
Hendler’s leadership is further evidenced by his many industry contributions outside the day-to-day: He is past president of the Utility Arborist Association (UAA), and past president of the Oklahoma and Louisiana Vegetation Management Associations. He served as the inaugural president of the Texas Vegetation Management Association, where he was also the recipient of the organization’s Lifetime Achievement Award. He holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Tulane University and a master’s in agronomy from Texas A&M University, and is an ISA Certified Arborist & Utility Specialist.
“I’m thrilled to join the ACRT team—it’s a tremendous organization, and I am thankful for the chance to make an impact as our operations grow across the U.S.,” Hendler said. “There is a lot of opportunity in our future, and I’m happy to be a part of it.”
